It was a busy week of meetings for the Tuscan Vice-Rectors visiting Brussels from 23 to 26 February. From the presentation of the position paper to the Members of the European Parliament of the ITRE Committee in collaboration with Mr Nardella to the meeting with the Cabinet Member of Commissioner Zaharieva to promote the position paper on the future research framework programme 2028-2034.

Tomorrow, TOUR4EU will be co-organising the 2026 edition of the online orientation event “𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆”, primarily addressed to S4, S5 and S6 students of the European Schools in Brussels who are beginning to explore their higher-education options.
The event is organised within the IUBEO network, and we are very happy to take part alongside our colleagues from the Brussels Offices of Italian Universities and the Rappresentanza Permanente d’Italia presso l’Unione europea in this collective effort to support students and families at an important decision-making moment.
During tomorrow’s session, all Tuscan universities will present together, offering students and their families the chance to get a first, clear overview of:
🔹 academic programmes in English;
🔸 admissions pathways;
🔹 scholarships and other student support services;

I lavori si apriranno con un keynote del Prof. Gabriele Tomei (Università di Pisa) dedicato all’europeizzazione del sistema universitario toscano, seguito da un dibattito e confronto con le principali realtà associative toscane e italiane attive a Bruxelles, per esplorare il legame tra mobilità qualificata, ricerca e identità territoriale.
Concluderà l’incontro con un saluto istituzionale il 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗱’𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘅𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀, S.E. Francesco Varriale.

Addio a Giuseppe Cambiano, storico della filosofia antica. Professore emerito della Scuola Normale Superiore, aveva 84 anni.
